It's time to visit #CaliforniaWineCountryNOW

Late fall and winter are a spectacular time to visit California’s Wine Country—the weather is beautiful and there’s much to see, taste and experience without the summer season crowds. Despite the wildfires that affected the region earlier this year, California’s Wine Country businesses are ready for visitors and planning a visit now is the best way to help these communities recover. Consider a trip in the coming months and enjoy Michelin-starred restaurants, incredible vintages, luxurious spa experiences, culinary classes and more. The wine is better than ever: the region has more than 1,200 wineries, and fewer than 10 were heavily damaged. Most tasting rooms reopened as of late October and vintners expect the 2017 vintage to be excellent— 90 percent of the year’s grapes were harvested before the fires struck. In addition to buying California wine and visiting Wine Country, there are many ways to help Wine Country communities recover.
